The Andersons to donate more than $25,000 in products for 2018 Golf Industry Show Silent Auction

Posted on February 07, 2018

The Andersons has donated more than $25,000 in products for the 2018 Golf Industry Show Silent Auction. The Silent Auction, which will be open online Feb. 1-19, is held in conjunction with the 2018 Golf Industry Show in San Antonio, Feb. 3-8. The Andersons’ donation to the auction benefits the Environmental Institute for Golf, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

With this donation, The Andersons move up to the Governor's Club level of the EIFG's cumulative giving program for donors who have contributed between $50,000 - $99,999 since 1987. In addition, they are Silver Partners, in GCSAA’s Partner Recognition Program.

“The Andersons has, time and time again, been a great friend to GCSAA and the EIFG,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said. “This donation to the Silent Auction helps fund the important work of the EIFG, which includes funding research grants and scholarships that foster sustainability in the golf industry.”

The donation from the Andersons, a diversified company rooted in agriculture, includes pallets of their Contec DG, Foltec SG and HCU turf nutrient products.

"Just as we offer the highest-quality specialty nutrients using next generation technologies to golf course superintendents, we know that giving to the EIFG means we are supporting quality programs that help superintendents make a difference at their facilities and in their communities,” said Bob Eichenberg, Director of Sales, The Andersons.
